The Panamorph UH480 is a high performance, anamorphic add-on lens installed in front of digital projectors to convert them to a higher (wider) aspect ratio. The UH480 is based on a patented hybrid cylindrical-prism design and currently represents the industry standard for home cinema conversion to 2.40:1 screens. It is sold and endorsed by more home cinema projector manufacturers than any other lens.
This lens can be used for constant height 2.35:1 imaging as either a moveable lens (Panamorph Mode I vertical image stretch required for 2.35:1 content) or a fixed lens (both electronic vertical stretch and Panamorph Mode II horizontal squeeze [for non-2.35:1 content] required).
